My nephew turned five this month. Five. It’s such an important milestone. Being able to say you are one “whole hand” old. On the cusp of being independent and yet so much to learn. They can be wild and untamed or submissive and cautious.
I have heard repeatedly that family photos can be stressful with kiddos under five. They want to explore and engage with the world around them, yet when mom has spent time and energy putting together the perfect outfit and getting everyone out the door it can seem like the pressure to capture the perfect smile and pose is overwhelming.
My hope is that in the middle of that perceived pressure, I can help you, mom, pause and enjoy the moment. Let me capture the wonder and fun of the moment. What you will find is that this is when the genuine smiles come out of your child. This is the memory you’ll want to treasure. And sandwiched in between the giggles and wrestling will be a photo worth framing.
