When Kasey called me to do an in-home newborn session in Oakley I was thrilled. I love being able to join new parents in welcoming their little ones into the world, and nothing makes me happier than putting them at ease and allowing them to enjoy the experience.

There are very few things that are easy or relaxing about a newborn, but a photography session can be just that! I get it. You’re sleep deprived, they’re unpredictable, and the last thing you want is a stranger in your home (just two weeks until I’m going to be entering that phase again myself)!

But I like to see myself as a calming presence. There is something magical about a good swaddle and a few posing techniques. And for a couple of hours, you get to hand off your little one to me while I cuddle and coo until the images are just right. I want you to sit back and soak in all the goodness of your beautiful new baby . These moments go by so quickly.
