Yesterday’s newborn session was a dream-from the homemade bassinet (made by the girls’ father) to the sweet and energetic 4-year old, to connecting with mom over similar career paths (in a former life I was a healthcare fundraiser, too)-the moments just flew by.
What was most evident was the amount of love, care and detail that breathed life into the Knollman’s home. As recent Cincinnati transplants, who just had a baby, the last thing I’d expect was to experience the kind of hospitality I did when entering their home. Perhaps it was the way the light flooded in to the bedroom, or the beautiful decor and furnishings. But I would venture to say that their hospitality runs deeper.
It is reflected in the easygoing, welcoming nature of the family, in the way that you feel like you’ve known someone for a long time, and in the kind words and excitement for the beauty that comes with capturing a new life on camera. Welcome to the world, sweet Mara, you are a treasure!
