Can you believe how beautiful the glow of this sunrise was? If there was one thing I wish I had control over, it’s the weather. I was longing for the blossoms and greenery of spring all winter and now that it is here I find myself yearning for that “perfect day”. And yes, sometimes all of the elements align to get that beautiful glow, but I have to remind myself over and over that my goal as a portrait photographer is not to capture the season of weather, but to embrace the seasons of your life and capture your family in the moment, whether the weather cooperates or not. But when it does, it truly can be breathtaking.

When someone is up for meeting me at sunrise, I jump at the chance. This sweet family just moved to Cincinnati and wanted to celebrate their younger daughter’s first birthday with family portraits. These two little girls were so delightful! Their smiles were captivating and I was ready to dance through the tulips with big sister.
